The Negotiation Dojo

The Negotiation Dojo® is a service offered to Premium Subscribers. It is not available for separate purchase. You may attend more than on Dojo in a year, as long as your subscription is current.

The Negotiation Dojo®

Martial arts embrace the concept of training for physical conflict. This includes developing a large reservoir of small skills that stack and work together after years of practice. This is done by practicing the moves that counter an offense and then prosecute an offensive strategy. This method works well with negotiation training.

Negotiation, influence, and persuasion are how we avoid physical conflict and how we communicate our needs to the world. How effective we are at those skills determines if, in fact, our needs are met.

The Negotiation DojoⓇ is a confidential private peer negotiation, persuasion and influence workshop.  The workshop provides practice, drill and role play with either sample or actual members’ critical negotiations fact patterns. Techniques are based on research of peer-reviewed studies that work. A short lesson is offered prior to head-to-head negotiation sparring.

Introduction and Foundation: White Belt

The Negotiation Dojo® starts with our Introduction and Foundation class. Here you will earn your White Belt learning fundamental and essential negotiation skills. It is offered in a workshop format of multiple meetings over time. Each class includes both a short lecture and sparring sessions so you can practice and hone your skills. Virtual supplemental check-ins are offered.

Advanced Sessions: Blue, Purple, Brown and Black Belts

For graduates of the White Belt sessions, The Negotiation Dojo® advanced classes are offered in a weekly ‘drop in’ format. Meetings are open to attend at any time. You can drop in weekly or monthly to suit your schedule.

Company or Organization Dojo

Companies and Organizations may purchase Negotiation Dojos® for a separate fee. No Premium Subscription necessary. 

Imagine you or your team showing up unprepared when walking into a negotiation. A dividend of the Negotiation DoJoⓇ is that these skills transfer throughout your organization.

These skills enrich the personal lives of you and your team. The curriculum is developed from research on “sticky corporate training” that is not forgotten in 48 hours by 91% of attendees like most corporate training. We use the latest neuroscience to ensure recall to the best of the participant’s ability. The Negotiation Dojo® is also offered in a workshop format of four to five sessions ideally with your company or organization. One day sessions are offered but the learning is not as sticky, subscribing to the website allows learners to proceed at their own pace.
