Employment General

An employee enjoys certain legal protections contractors do not. Employees may be hired and fired “at will” where the employer can fire on a whim; or “for cause” the employee has to do something wrong or not do their job. Wages are subject to employment taxes, pension fees, union dues or other expenses. The employer is generally liable for their acts done within the scope of employment.
